Here is my audition for Aspenkit, in this post she's an apprentice:
Aspenpaw, a rather spry thing, stood on the edge of the Thunderpath. She'd never been here before and dreadful smells really assaulted her senses. A monster, with glaring white eyes and a hard outer shell, roared by with a loud and awful noise. The tabby apprentice crouched on the ground by her mentor who gave a little chuckle.
"Do not be afraid, Aspenpaw" her mentor advised her and nudged her upward. "As long as we are on the grass, we are safe." With a slight nod, Aspenpaw stood up on unsure paws and watched as another monster blared past them. 'He said don't be afraid' she reminded herself and bared her chest, completely determined not to be afraid of a stupid monster.
"Not too close" came her mentor's sharp order and, with a small nod, Aspenpaw slowly backed away from the Thunderpath with a look of utter disdain on her countenance. After a rather lengthy explaination of why the Thunderpath was the greatest danger and why Aspenpaw, or any other cat, should never ever cross it, they were ready to depart. The whole time Aspenpaw listened to the sound of his vioce and though at certain points it seemed repetative and monotonus, she remained alert. She was however very excited to leave that place and return to Spritepaw and Cascadepaw. They would spend, she knew for a fact, most of the night up and relaying stories of their first day as an apprentice...

I'll try out for Mothkit then, and you can have Cascadekit. When night fell, the whole camp was silent. On such a cool new-leaf eve, the wind usually shook the trees that guarded the camp enterance, yet there was no wind, nor any sound at all. When the half moon became covered with clouds around midnight, a pair of glowing yellow eyes appeared in the darkness; when light covered the earth once more, an apprentice stood, fur that could rival the leaf-fall leaves, and a tail held high in defiance.
She looked back to the den where she had emerged from. She rolled her eyes a little, and called back quietly, "Come on, already!" A moment later, another apprentice appeared, her brother Wolfpaw, who's pelt was dark in comparison to hers. He said not one word, and followed her with his tail held low. She wasn't bothered by his lack of enthusiasm for tonight's escapde, but found it rather tiresome.
"Can you at least pretend to be excited?" she asked him, taking small and quiet steps to the trees that guarded the camp enterance, "No one will catch us sneaking out. Everyone is asleep and the midnight patrol just returned." She flicked her ears as the wind finally picked up, and it ruffled her already fluffy red fur. "What's life without a little adventure, Wolfpaw?"
She finally made her way to the camp enterance, and she stood looking out with glowing eyes and blood pumping and thriving for adventure. She didn't care if Wolfpaw followed her or not at this point, or whether she was breaking the rules by going out alone at night. But she lived by her motto: What is life without a little adventure? Wolfpaw didn't have to understand, as long she could taste freedom for just one night.
