Well technically, it's not Rush Week anymore, because "it's considered hazing." But it's not. My school is stupid. Anyway, I am getting inducted into the Thespian Troupe at my school, and it's an international thing, so it's pretty damn exciting. But in order to get inducted, you have to go through Rush Week, which is the week of the actual induction ceremony. The vice president of the drama club chose thing for all inductees to do. Monday-- "Thespian-oge" I have to dress in all black, like a spy, and when an active calls my name, I have to die a tragic death in a foreign language. Tuesday-- "Better than Broadway" You have to dress from a character in a musical, and when an active calls your name, you have to start singing from that musical. I'm going to dress in some "Singin' in the Rain" gear. Wednesday-- "Outside the Box" Dress like a toy. I think I'm going to do a doll with really pink cheeks and really, really curly hair. I think that's going to be a little creepy. . . Thursday-- Inductees have to wear bright colors, and we cannot talk the ENTIRE day. Like, not at all. And when an active calls your name, you have to do an interpretive dance. This is definately the best one, I think. Friday-- "Happily Never After" This one is a little confusing. You have to be like, the opposite/paradox of a fairy tale. I'm going Pinnochio with a nose job, and like my friend is doing Ariel who can't swim. And for the actual ceremony, everyone has to dress as a villian. I am going to be the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. Hopefully I'll be able to take pictures so you guys can see. It'll be a weird week, for sure.

It kind of reminds me of Homecoming week, plus acting.
I doubt I'd do any of it, but it would be fun to watch other people.

Yeah, that's what my non-theatre friends say. They are going to laugh at me, but so is the entire school, so it doesn't really matter.

Only two more?! No fair! We have 6 plus a week of testing. But I think we started after you... Is it like a theater performance? I'm happy that all mine are over. Cast party today, which means cake and snowball fights. It's like 80 degrees here. But I got a blister on my foot while running the mile today, so putting on my skates might be... interesting.

Bah. I never got into my middle school's Thespian Club; Leafy did. Then again, our club's 'advisor' hated me, and I her, so it was all good.
I think it had something to do with my suggesting we get a Thespian Club Mafia to attack the Builder's Club. Remember that, Leafy?

ya, I think I do. I had something like that Shattered at my initiation, but it was just 1 day. Dressed up like a charrie from a book/play/movie the entire day I was Charlotte Doyle. Funfun!

I kinda remember that. Was that when I was at McMurray, Leafy?
-shrug- my 'rush' week is getting shoved by my editors on the paper into doing interviews. That didn't work too well for my sanity.
