dead wrong to ever doubt you[/i] Green eyes surveyed the hollow in the rocky hills that formed GorgeClan's camp. Demon smiled faintly. So this was where Crimsonstar and his gang lived? Funny. This was where MountainClan had lived, too; she'd lived here herself for a time, with Shroud and Shadow, just after the Faithful Shadows had fallen. Padding over the stones with her firey red-orange feet, Demon found herself feeling... odd. She'd sworn never to come back here again back then, but here she was. And why? Because, curse it, she'd fallen in love. With a Clan leader, no less. Mind, back then, he'd just been Redblood, a hot-tempered, angry tomcat who'd mirrored her personality perfectly. Neither had been very attached to anyone else in their families. But that seemed so long ago now. Redblood was Crimsonstar now; Demon was still Demon, though. Without waiting for anyone else, she called out, in her harsh voice, "Hey! Crims! Ya there, or do I need ter claw yer ears off fer ya t'listen?" True. It wasn't a very friendly greeting. But Demon wasn't a very friendly she-cat. Outwardly, at least. but my demons lay in waiting[/b]

Shaking his head and smiling faintly, Crimsonstar bound from the leader's den, where he'd intended to get a good night's rest. Resting those amber-green eyes of his on Demon, they brightened considerably. You came, he whispered joyously, tail curling inwardly. Perhaps he'd thought it was all a joke when she'd hinted about coming to join. He wondered now what a good leader would do. Chase the ginger female from his camp and give her a good licking? He longed for that, but in a different way, of course. Well, he thought offhandedly, who says I'm a good leader? Stepping forward, he read the uncomfortable look in her eyes, and mewed lightly, Didn't think you'd ever see this hellhole again, did you? Me, neither, but I was called back .. and maybe you were, too.

And the more I hide I realize[/b] Demon stepped forward, then hesitated. Called back here? Perhaps. Perhaps she had been. But she knew what she'd been called back by. By him. "You brought me 'ere, Crims," the ginger femme said quietly, tail twitching from side to side. What was she to say to him? Sorry wasn't good enough, nor was anything; it all sounded so soppy and silly in her head. Finally, she meowed, still feeling cautious, "'S been a long time since I was part'a 'nythin'. Back when th' Shadows was still 'round, ac'ly." I'm slowly losing you[/b]

Perking up, Crimsonstar thought for a moment before replying lightly, Yeah. I haven't been in a Clan since .. since my apprenticehood, when Shadowstar was dying of insanity and its name was MountainClan. Since then, my brother, Slashedpaw, and me, left .. but I haven't seen him since, and I don't want to. Lifting his head and smiling, he added, But the Clans are changed now, Demon. You don't have to change your name; you don't have to believe in StarClan. Because I'm here .. I'm the leader, and around here, no one will look with cross eyes at you. Here he stepped forward, lightly touching his nose to the top of her head before withdrawing, as if afraid of being clawed.
Well, you never knew ..

rebirthing now
Demon didn't flinch when Crimsonstar touched his nose to her head; it surprised her, though. With barely a thought, she touched her nose to his, then she, too, withdrew, as if she was shocked by her own boldness. With a flick of her ears, she smiled, however tenatively.
"No'ne'll look cross 't me?" The russet she-cat echoed, sounding vaguely amused. "Not ev'n those pre'y she-cats? We'll let'em be all cross th't ya chose li'l ole me, rugged loner an' rough-neck, over their silky furs an' soft words, then, huh?"
wanna live for love, wanna live for you and me[/b]

Crimsonstar blinked. If they look cross at you, Demon, we'll fight them together. He didn't say this the way a romanticist would have; he said it determinedly, fiercely, glaring around the camp as if it were hostile territory. Well, it almost was. Glancing back up and smirking, he replied, Silky fur against mine would be too much of an inbalance. Here his eyes met hers with more of a soft touch. Welcome to GorgeClan, Demon.

i'll never wake up without an overdose[/b]
Demon smiled and stepped forward, closer to Crimsonstar. "Thanks, Red," she said, with a touch of humor in her otherwise-harsh voice. "Guess I'll have ter get used t' callin' ya Crimsonsta' now, though, huh?" The ruddy cat added, green eyes bright with not amusement, but pleasure.
of you[/b]

Smiling, Crimsonstar shrugged. Aw, hell, Dem, you can call me whatever you want to. Red suits me just fine .. besides, when you say it, it's sexy. He chuckled, then ducked, preparing to be jumped on by his own little ball of fire. Although he was never Redblood, she was still Demon .. and that's all he wanted her to be.

when darkness comesDemon laughed, swiping at his face playfully with one claw-sheathed paw. "'Sexy', huh?" She said, grinning. "S'pose 'Dem's' pretty damned sexy, too, Red. Sound's a bit too much like Dem'n'us fer m'liking, though, kid." The tabby flicked her tail up in a mischievious manner. [/blockquote] i'll light the night with stars

they say i only think in the form of crunching numbers Looking at her rather offhandedly, with a touch of strong affection in green eyes that had been void for so long, he stated, Well, Dem, he mewed softly, glancing at the stars in the dark sky, Ya want me to show ya where you'll be sleepin'? Glancing around the camp, he wondered if he could really put her in the warrior's den. After all, in the morning, there might be a commotion, since they didn't know about her joining, yet. Throwing his eyes the roguish female's way, he contemplated this silently.
Where do you wanna sleep tonight, Dem? That's the medicine cat's den, where Windgust sleeps, that's the warriors den, the apprentices' den, the nursery, the elders' den, and.. my den. Shining eyes full of sudden brightness, he looked pleadingly at her. It had been a long time since his dark, shadowy scarlet tabby pelt had pressed against her fluffy light ginger coat.
One more night and one more time; Thanks for the memories Even though they weren't so great
