God, I've been waiting for this for ages!]]
Let's admire the pattern forming
Murderous filigree

It was late, past moon-high. Had there been a moon visible that night, or stars, even, they would have shone their light upon a lone figure wandering the moors. This feline, a grey tom with fiery orange ears, tailtip, and feet, was clearly lost, though his green eyes shone with the hope that this turn, yes, this hill, his destination was just a little further.
Go ascend with ivy, climbing
Ignore and leave for me
The headstone crumbling behind

The moon would have shone her light upon a second figure sitting alone in the night's velvet darkness. A black she-cat, eyes a brilliant violet, the sort of cat who could have been thought very pretty by any array of young toms. The light that shone in those orbs, however, was not nearly as pretty, showing pain, insanity, rage, helplessness, and, more than anything else, the knowledge that there was nothing left in the world for her but this. Below her position on the cliffs, the river crashed into a gorge, white water creating a ceaseless, pounding noise, a sound that drowned out all else.
I can't help my laughter as she cries
My soul brings tears to angelic eyes

It seemed fate that these two lone figures would meet that night. For as the grey tom took yet another wrong turn, he found himself face to face with this shadow-pelted feline. For a moment, they stared at each other, green eyes meeting purple. His glimmered with fear and, yes, relief at a familiar cat; hers failed to change their expression, simply adding recognition into their dark depths. With no trace of emotion in her voice, she spoke:
"I know you... cousin."
Let's amend the classic story
Close it so beautifully
I'll let animosity unwind

Icefire smiled, pleased to see her. "Eclipse," he breathed, stepping a little closer to her form. He was not surprised at her lack of emotion or warmth: she'd always been that way, ever since he could remember. "I'm... I'm so glad to see you."
"I'm not." Her voice cut sharply through the night air, still devoid of feeling. "Murderers aren't welcome here, cousin." There was a faint hssst as claws were unsheathed from blood-stained ebony feet.
Steal away the darkened pages
Hidden so shamefully
I'll still feel the violence of the lines
Hidden so shamefully
I'll still feel the violence of the lines
Icefire found himself pinned against the hard, craggy earth before he could do much else, trapped beneath a much larger body. Sharp claws pricked his skin as he stared into suddenly angry violet eyes. "I saw what you did, cousin," hissed Eclipse in her cold voice. "You killed them. Killed Spectrumfire and Violetlight and laughed about it afterwards." Had any light been present, the small tomcat would have seen the vengeful smile that appeared on her maw. "I can't let you ruin my plan, cousin. Our plan."
I can't stand my laughter as they cry
My soul brings tears to angelic eyes

For the first time, Icefire felt fear, a hard, cold rock in his stomach. He knew what was coming, and, desperately, he shot out with his mind, trying to do something stop his mad cousin. She laughed at his attempts. "You can't kill us, cousin, not like that! We are two minds, and we fear nothing!" She slashed out, ripping his shoulder with one paw. Icefire shrieked in pain.
And miles away my mother cried
Omnipotence, nurturing malevolence

"We hear the cries of the dying, and we laugh, because one day, we will be embraced in that same coldness!" Another slash, to his throat, not quite deep enough to kill him, but enough that blood flowed out. Icefire's shrieks increased in volume and pitch, and the blood bubbled hotly in the cold night air.
I can't stand my laughter as they cry
My soul brings tears to angelic eyes
My soul brings tears to angelic eyes
"We are death, the ones who will save this forest with our judgement! We see all, hear all, know all!" With each of those last phrases, she ripped into his stomach, the tom's cries of pain reaching a crescendo within moments. As he lay there, dying in his own blood, Eclipse leaned close to those clouding green eyes.
"Good night, cousin." And, suddenly devoid of emotion once more, she descended into the waterfall's gorge, leaving the corpse where it lay.
And miles away my mother cried
Omnipotence, nurturing malevolence
Omnipotence, nurturing malevolence
