Violetlight turned quickly to stare at Spectrumfire. He hadn't told her anything about a sister. Then again, she hadn't told him much about her family either. "You have a sister?" she asked him, glancing at Eclipse. How did she know?

Eclipse nearly laughed; her preference to hide her emotions prevented this, thankfully. "You wonder how I know, Cousin? I have a gift, like our friend Minnowpool's, but much better. "My mother, Mooncrest, was Gifted with the power of Foresight, if you recall. She could see the future: the Fall of the Clans, her mother's death, she saw them happen, and it resulted in immense paranoia for her. "I, thankfully, did not inherit her Gift. Mine is the Gift of Hindsight; I see the past. Mind, I have to be in the area where the event took place, but I see it just the same. I saw Minnowpool and Spectrumfire's birth. Awful, bloody thing, really. Their mother died in the process, though I assume that she wouldn't have lived much longer had she taken them back to MarshClan." Eclipse looked quietly from Spectrumfire to Minnowpool, smile gone from her face. "I apologize if I've brought up unwanted memories. I do not take pride in knowing these things; too much of what I see is death, death and blood and hate. I'd rather see nothing than see what I see."

ooc- i'm going to make a side affect to minnowpool's operation. once and a while she'll have extreme moments of weakness and faints at random times. it makes sense, ya know? Minnowpool eyes drooped exhaustedly as she leapt down from the tree, her tail drug against the ground. She glanced from the three of them, eyes rested on Violetlight. I don't have a sibli- Minnowpool protested angrily before Esclipse cut her off. Her ice-colred eyes widened slightly. She didn't have time to deal with this. What do you mean we're siblings? The white she-cat hissed, fur bristling slightly. She blinked slowly, taking it all in. So he's my brother, and we're both.. Clanborn? No... that can't be.. Minnowpool muttered to herself. She looked up, the clarification in her blue eyes sharp again. Okay, prove it. What happened to me? Minnowpool hissed angrily, shifting into a lying position, tail curled over her hind legs, ears flat to her head. What happened to me six moons ago? Her voice trembled when she said this. She can't possibly have hindsight... no...

((I did... Or maybe that was her personality. I remember reading something about her... Might as well make a short reply.))
Violetlight's whiskers twitched in surprise. Minnowpool didn't know that she had a brother? She looked at Eclipse, no longer dismissing her as just another insane life hater. She'd never heard of cats with special abilities. Though it made no sense, she still found herself believing her cousin. It couldn't be StarClan's doing, because StarClan was gone. It seemed to be more of a curse than a blessing; Violetlight hoped that not many other cats had to suffer the way she did. ((She's gonna get a surprise when she has her kits, hehehe.))
She looked at Spectrumfire and blinked. Maybe he didn't know either.

o o c ; no muse, so i'm sorry it's sucky. i forgot about this thread.
Spectrumfire's eyes misted over with grief and wonder. "I have... a sister?" He choked, startled, staring wonderingly at her. They didn't look alike, but that wasn't uncommon in cats in general. He couldn't believe that he had a sister; he'd always wanted a family member, even if she was rude and overconfident, like this showoffy freak. He looked into her pale ice eyes, mystified by her and wanting to know her tragic tale.
"Minnowpool... did you know our mother? If you did... was she a kind cat? What... what happened to you?" He was touched by her existance, and, looking lovingly at Violetlight, his pregnant wife, he smiled gently. He was going to have a family, at last, complete with the sibling he'd never known and the promise of his beautiful kits. He twined his tail with Violetlight's and stared at both Eclipse and Violetlight wonderingly.

[['S alright. I'm lost as I'm busy trying to make ~10k NP on Neopets. . . . mock me for it and die.]]
Eclipse shrugged, answering for Minnowpool. "Your mother was nice enough. Believe you me, Spectrumfire, she would've lived if she hadn't lost so much blood and strength birthing the pair of you." Taking a step back, the black she-cat shook her head, suddenly quiet. "Neither of you knew her. And only you can answer that last question, Minnowpool. Whatever happened, it wasn't in these woods. And, as for you, Cousin Violetlight," Eclipse looked at the pregnant silver femme and a flicker of sadness touched her purple eyes. "I take my leave of you and your new family. Unless, you have some urgent need of me...?"

Minnowpool stared softly back at Spectrumfire, his tri-colored coat and emerald eyes. She had always imagined her father with green eyes. She had imagined her mother with her own eye color. Now, she saw her first living family member. Spectrumfire and Minnowpool. Minnowpool and Spectrumfire. It kind of fit, awkwardly. She looked at the long-haired tom for a moment longer, then shook her head. No. I was hoping you knew her. All I remember is a rasp on the ear and her scent fading away, leaving me... She could barely choke out the last part. Alone. Minnowpool flattened her ears, feeling slightly vulnerable as she was bombarded with questions. Memories flashed ice cold across her pale eyes, sending showers of pain and bewilderment across them like the night sky. She blinked, looking them all three in the eye. Not quite sure. Some idiotic Twoleg picked me up after I got hit by a car, Minnowpool used the term car, forgetting they might now know what that was, shoved me in a crate, and shipped my off to some place. Next thing I know, a tall Twoleg with white skins over his hands... She shook her head, trying to dislodge a memory. He injected something in my spine, and next thing I knew, my shoulder was good, actually, even better. She stared at them with now-unvieled sadness. And that's my story.

Spectrumfire looked at his new sister skeptically. He wasn't sure whether or not to believe her, but the terrified look in her bright eyes... it was proof enough for anyone. "Our lives are different, yet somehow similar. I was raised by no one, just like you. Most cats weren't sure who my parents were, for I didn't look like them at all. I just grew up, fatherless and motherless, and I needed a hero figure in my life so badly." He looked away, trying not to accuse the pale queen with his fiery-bright eyes. "I am still ashamed to have looked up to a rapist and a killer, but hey, who's perfect?" He glanced softly at Violetlight.
At least I was lucky enough, though, to find her. Minnowpool had nobody... but now she does. He was determined to be her friend, positive they'd eventually tolerate each others company. He looked at his mate's cousin, and he found the sadness in her gimlet eyes, so like his Violetlight's.
He found himself uttering, to his disbelief, "No.. you don't have to leave, Eclipse." He glanced at his silvery spouse, then continued, "I mean.. where would you go? It'd be nice to have family around." He glanced shyly at Minnowpool, still curious about her. She was faster, stronger, and more flexible than the average warrior, but he didn't think much of her physical attributes; it was her mental and emotional ones he worried for.

And then a most un-Eclipse like thing happened to the jet-black she-cat. She laughed. Laughed, like what Spectrumfire had said was a joke, and a bad one at that.
"Wherever the mood takes me, Spectrumfire," She said finally, suddenly serious again. "I'd be a hassle to have around, with new kits on the way." The amethyst eyes locked on the multi-colored tom now, burning with coldness. "I don't like kits much. I don't like company, anyway."
[[Though, we all know she'll just hide under the bank and watch.]]

Spectrumfire felt a little anger at her obvious repulsion for his wife and him. He answered bitterly, "Have it your way, Eclipse, but if you feel that way, I fear you'll never have much of a life." He wasn't sure how to take the laugh she'd given. Instead, he chose to ignore it; he was in no way ready to face someone like that.

Violetlight exchanged glances with her mate. "You've already heard what I have to say," she said to Eclipse simply. After all, it was her life, and if she wanted to spend it alone... Violetlight shrugged and turned towards Minnowpool. "But you'll stay, won't you?" Finally, she would have a family.

Minnowpool looked skeptically at the pair of cats. She wasn't sure what to say. If.. if you'll take me. I suppose I'll stay. The white enigma meowed quietly, kneading the ground absently with a forepaw. I'd like that very much. Minnowpool sighed, gazing wonderingly at the two. The tenderness they shared when they looked at each other. What was it like? Minnowpool looked at them softly. What was it like?
