--- morning l i g h t. TO;; whispering falls [xoxo] ------- Jade's ears perked playfully as her body rotated around. Without a second doubt displayed in her angular head, she ran swiftly down to where a dark ginger femme and a smoky charcoal tom were play-fighting. She hurled herself daintily onto the she-cat, digging her sheathed paws into coarse red fur, tail swishing happily. Jade had no clue who these cats were, but she was sure she would in moment. Twisting sideways, and rolling off, she flicked a paw over her own ear and plopped down next the the pair. * Shroud sighed, glancing over at the reunion of Demon and Shadow. She would gladly have played with them, lest her stomach would let her. No fair. She thought, stretching out two black-patched forepaws in front of her luxuriously, not uttering a word. Shroud boredly watched a pretty ginger-and-white female leave behind the old leader of MarshClan, Hauntedstar.

Demon snarled playfully as Shadow pinned her to the ground. "Gerroffame, ya big lump ya!" She laughed, pushing at her cousin's bellyfur with her hindlegs. "Shroud, ya wanna help yer ole pal?" The ginger pleaded jokingly. Despite the awkwardness that had triumphed moments before, the feeling of being with her friends again was one that prevailed over Demon.

[so is the x-box! i got super mario galaxy for wii, and for the x-box, rockband... and i'm the mic. i'm awezome at getting the tune and the pitch; terrible at singing. we called window repair men today. <3 oh, and i'm sorry this post suckz so bad. i am absoballylutely museless.]
"I'll help ya, Demmie," murmured a low, deep, growly voice. From the bracken surrounding the old Fourtrees' place, now the Giant Oaks, a massive dark ginger tabby emerged, sliding like a massive serpent-like dragon. His pale chartreuse eyes flicked over the tom Demon was grappling with, a handsome, shiny-furred black and silver tortie with vibrant cerulean eyes. They appeared to be acquaintances, so Redblood rolled over, smiling disarmingly and yawning, "Yeah, ya kin have er. She ain't much, but fer her looks." His teasing was light, knowing she could blow very easily...

[[Sweet. We got Super Paper Mario, which is terrific, but we got a stupid bowling game that's worse than Wii Sports; we're gonna trade it in at a Gamestop whenever we go over to Seattle. I got the entire Invader Zim series on DVD! And I apologize in advance for the suckiness of my own post; first day of Quarter.]]
Demon's eyes blazed in mock fury at Redblood's words. "Ya damn coward, Red!" She snarled playfully. "C'mon, off ya go, Shadow!" Pushing herself away from her cousin, the red-orange tabby scrambled to her paws for a moment before shoving at the larger tom in what seemed to be a playful gesture. "Nice o'ya t'show up, Red. Where ya been?" She said in a low voice, green eyes sparking with trace amounts of her usual temper.

[all is forgiven, because once more, i'm deprived of my muse. it's like my muse well is drained temporarily.]
Shadow chuckled, then rolled away from his temperate cousin. When the new tom stepped up, his blue eyes narrowed suspiciously, before he rose. Why did he look familiar? Something in his face, his pelt, his eyes, his build... why was he seeing other cats? "Excuse me," he meowed, rising, shaking dust off his coat, and stepping forward to the ginger warrior, "But do you happen to know Squirrelpelt? She was my mother." He glanced over at Demon, completely bewildered. It wasn't Squirrelpelt this massive reddish cat reminded him of... although they shared that infuriating accent she'd sported. Bizarre.
"Sure, I knowed 'er, but not personally. In fact, she were dead by t'time Ma birthed me." He straightened, eyes gleaming sharply. "T'truth is, Squirrelpelt's ma dead sista." At Shadow's astonished look, he smirked, and continued, "That's right; Crimsonlight an' Flowerpetal died t'same day of ma birthin'. Ah'm yer uncle, though ya look older'n me." He turned to flick his tail to Demon's side, then shrugged Shadow away completely, no longer interested in this new family member. After all, he'd heard stories about Squirrelpelt; who was to say Shadow was no different?
"I was takin' kerr of business, Dem. Nuttin fer ya t'know. Kinda personal." He winked, indicating he'd tell her later about his news.

[[Writing this at the tail-end of my Comp. Sci. Lab. I programmed a window with buttons that say "Hello World" in English and Spanish when you click the buttons, then exits the window when you click the exit button! -feels proud- But I doubt that's very important, huh?]]
Demon shrugged at Red's words. "Whate'er. Ya'll tell me later, right?" There was a note in her voice that sounded slightly irritated, but that was normal for the ginger she-cat. Why? Good question; it was also one to which she didn't have the answer. Oh well. With a twitch of her thin tail, she nodded towards Shroud. "So, ya know Shadow an' all, Red, but this gal 'ere," Demon winked one green eye at the black-and-white she-cat. "This 'ere's Shroud; best mate a gal could ask fer, if'n yer arskin' me."

[does it really require a response from Spectrum? -scrolls backward- all, well. here ya go.] "Exactly," Spectrumfire meowed after Violetlight's statement. "My medicine cat used to tell us stories, after all, about some cats born from rotten blood turn out noble; like, say, Crimsonlight of MountainClan. Also, I was told of evil cats coming from noble blood; I'll say for you, Mudclaw of MountainClan. It has nothing to do with heritage; otherwise, we'd all be exact copies of our mothers or fathers, grandmothers or uncles. We are who we are inside the soul StarClan left us before they passed." He rose, stretching cold, stiff muscles, and nodded at Violetlight. "We should know... right?" He was referring, of course, not to themselves or their own parents; rather Violetlight's littermate and uncles, and he had seen Abyssfang as well. They had experienced ths knowledge first hand.

Violetlight nodded, agreeing with her mate. This conversation was getting old. Maybe if they gave Eclipse some time to think about it, she would see reason. She glanced at the she-cat, then turned to her mate. "Well, I really don't see any point in hanging around," her whiskers twitched. "It looks like everyone's either left or is waiting for something to happen. Are you ready to go?" She wondered if she should tell him now. Only a few hours ago she had decided not to, but she didn't think she could make herself not tell him for much longer. Besides, she was pretty sure, and maybe it had started to show but she hadn't noticed. Yet it didn't seem right to share good news with him in front of Eclipse, who seemed to have a cloud of doom surrounding her.

[[-cough- Eclipse. Enigma's Jade's.]]
Eclipse smiled a very thin smile. Very thin. The semblance of happiness vanished as swiftly as it had appeared, though, as the black cat turned once more from her cousin and her mate. "Again, I say goodbye to you, Cousin." The cold voice spoke with a faint trace of venom, just enough to chill someone's bones. "I would advise that you steer clear of my path; I shall certainly avoid yours. I would not like to share my life or luck with anyone." Icily, Eclipse walked away, without a backwards glance at the gathered cats. She didn't much care for crowds, anyway.
