==Despite what's been said before, I'm going to do this. Why? We need to get this plot moving. So the Clans are formed, for now, and we're having the first Gathering. Yes, the leaders will be getting their nine lives here. And we're now having Gatherings every other month. Because we're all lazy. Leaders post first, and say who can come. For Mireclan, everyone. I'm so evil, leaving the camp unguarded.== when the moon found the sun Plaguestrike--star now, he reminded himself-- stood on a hill overlooking the four ancient oaks that stood together in the center of a depression in the land. He smiled to himself slightly, ever so slightly, at the thought of being in charge of so many cats. Before now, he'd been content to let others decide; he didn't want to risk being seen as another version of Abyssfang. But Twistingstar had named leader over the newly formed MireClan, so here he was now. he looked like he was barely hanging on He wasn't so unhappy anymore, either. Plaguestar had changed recently, partly because of the reappearance of his half-sister, Shatteredsky. He was still just as nervous and regretful as before, mind, but he didn't dwell on the past nearly as much. And how could he, with Shatteredsky guiding him as MireClan's medicine cat and a new future opening itself before his sky-blue eyes? but her eyes saved his life So the creme-and-dark brown tabby allowed himself a smile. Turning around to face the small Clan of cats he'd brought together, he gave a deep nod of respect to them. They'd practically saved him, if he thought about it. in the middle of summer

((Well since you're leaving the camp unguarded and any conversation with the adorably ditzy Baykit is well ummm a work in progress then...))
Robinheart,as she was now to be called, moved silently behind the leader of her new...Clan. A small shudder of excitement passed through her body. What a strange and oddly wonderful thought!? She felt almost as if she could belong there with Baykit and with the few others that were there. As her pace quickened, yet still so quiet on her small, pearly white paws, so did the beating of her heart.
When she broke away from the undergrowth, burs of several kinds caught in her bi-colored pelt, she saw him standing there. The only other cat there, standing up on a boulder with deep gouges, scars from some past battle. She saw Plaguestri-Plaguestar she reminded herself tersely He's your leader.
She could have easily returned his smile and his nod confidently but she didn't. She was, by leaps and bound, to excited to do anything other twitch her whiskers, long and elegant, nervously.

Baykit followed her friend eagerly, a very kit-like bounce in her step. "First gathering," she whispered to Robinheart. Her fluffy tail quivered with excitement. Even though she didn't have her name yet, she was old enough to be an apprentice. Nobody would guess by her size; it was her behavior that would give her away.
"Call me Baypaw for now. Kits aren't supposed to be here," her eyes glittered mischievously. The self-named Baypaw sat in the hollow, eagerly looking up at Plaguestar.
((Mintleaf will come last, just for the effect.))

ooc - Love the avvy, Raven. And .. everyone, too, who resides in GorgeClan, is invited. everything you say to me puts me one step closer to the edge and i'm about to break Amber-green eyes glowing in the shadows, a brilliant streak of scarlet, large as a boulder, was swept onto a rock near the great hills in a graceful liquid movement that seemed out of place on his immense mass. Glancing around, Crimsonstar saw a cat that was unfamiliar, a pale brown tabby tom with sapphire eyes. One of the new leaders, I'm guessing, he thought, then thought about greeting him. How embarrassing it would be if he opened his trained mouth and his old Soulkeeper-voice returned, spewing from his mouth like ugly black smoke. This thought made him sigh, for he wouldn't have been reminded of his old ways and old voice if he hadn't just met up with Demon .. who no doubtedly had an unbearable hatred for him. Staring over the hill at a few of the cats, who were tentatively approaching, he thought fleetingly; If only we could turn back the clock .. maybe we'd all forget the scars, and maybe the future we're in now wouldn't be so shadowy .. Shadow. Heh, he'd felt foolish to learn the kitten Demon was with was not her son, but a cousin of sorts, also considered his aunt. He was Shadow's son .. Shadow being Crimsonstar's sister's child. Ah, how confusing and small this world was to the mortals below .. how very small. Twirling his tail absently, he decided to make small talk and learn about the new leader; he didn't know a damn thing about the other Clans, and he figured it would be quite useful. Turning quizzically to the light tom on his left, he mewed in a conversational tone, Hello. I am called Redbl .. Crimsonstar. I'm the .. leader of GorgeClan. It still felt strange in his mouth, being formal and elegant-appearing when beneath the cruel, mocking, reckless and rough-tongued beast within him scowled at being locked away. He didn't know if he wanted to be Redblood or Crimsonstar .. which was better for the role he'd been chosen to play by his grandfather .. the later Flowerpetal's noble father, also dead before his birth. That was another thing. After the impregnating of Flowerpetal with her third litter, Crimsonlight came upon her in the Tawny Fields one day, two small kittens at her side .. the only figures of life within the entire field. He committed suicide, unable to live without his darling wife. Both of their parents -- Gustwhisker, Soulkeeper, Thistlestar and Tintedfeather -- had been dead for some time now, and Crimsonstar wouldn't have wanted to be under their care anyway. Redpaw and his brother Slashedpaw grew as orphans in MountainClan, until the Clan split and they ran. Redpaw defiantly became Redblood the rogue, and he vowed never to return to the godforsaken lands of his parents' deaths. Now, he'd become the leader of that very Clan .. or, at least, the remnants of it. Would Crimsonstar ever feel at home in the old territories, the same territories he'd been born in, and had also run from without looking back once? He wondered what qualities Thistlestar had seen in him to want to make him the leader, other than the fact the old cat's daughter was his late mother. Not much of a reason for a wise tom like that to make a young rebel leader .. so .. Crimsonstar must have some qualities that only the spiritually aware could see in him, for when he looked at his reflection, he immediately turned away, not because of the physical image, but because of the darkness held captive in his eyes. Eyes that were supposed to see for the Clan his paws now lead the way for. Oh, Thistlestar, I think ya made a big mistake ..
*** black hole sun won't you come and wash away the rain black hole sun won't you come won't you come It had been ages, actually, since Spectrumfire had left his family for the Clan he'd been able to renew his faith in. It wouldn't take him long to be the deputy he'd wanted to be as a kitten, trusting fervently in Abyssfang. Now he served under the virtuous son of his hated foe .. it would seem strange, but if the multicolored warrior was not one thing, it was prejudiced. He was the son of a medicine cat, after all .. and that was much worse than a legitimate, if not cruel, way of birth. Now as he strode with his Clan into the Forgotten Lands, in the midst of the Ancient Oaks, he realized sorrowfully that this was his first Gathering .. the first one! And how much had little Spectrumpaw wanted to attend one with Abyssfang long ago? Very badly .. His green eyes warily sought for a single sleek black and silver shape. Violetlight. What he wouldn't give to discover her safe, to discover her well-fed and happy. What would he do if she turned him away coldly? Walk on, he decided mentally, but the thought tore his heart. He still loved Violetlight .. he always would, too. He would never publically display his affection, and he wouldn't let his love get the best of him if ever it came to something like a battle, but he would never forget the beautiful ValleyClan she-cat.
*** i'm so happy how 'bout you? [i'm fed up, so get up, and get out] i'm so happy now we're through [i'm fed up, so get up, and get out] Ah, so the newly reformed Clans were having a Gathering. Shadow had known this was so quite awhile ago, and thank the stars for that. He was on a mission, and quite the desperate one at that: find his children, and return them to their frantic mother to prevent them all from splitting apart like his own family had done. Draik and Dumia were good kits. He definitely couldn't ask for better .. and he saw a lot of himself and Shroud in both of them, making him love them both even more. However, he knew why they'd left home with no warning -- oh, didn't he know all to well! Although he didn't know which one, he knew they were both in the Clans somewhere. If he caught them, though, would he be able to talk some sense into them? Falling into the dark, eyes gleaming with frenzy, he searched the thin crowd for two small kittens; one black, one tabby. I've got to find them to prevent what's happened once from happening again .. the splitting of a family. I will not let them suffer as Shroud and I suffered when our parents abandoned us.
*** take everything from the inside and throw it all away 'cause i swear for the last time i won't trust myself with you Along with MireClan trotted a pleased-looking Draik .. or, more accurately, a pleased-looking Darkpaw. Yes, that's right! Darkpaw had finally made it official: by running from the dark life of a loner and straight into the arms of a Clan, he was now an apprentice. Now he was attending the Gathering, where he hoped to meet cats in other Clans, just like a Clan-born apprentice. But what was this? Shadow! His father! Black blended with the dark well .. that was good. If Shadow saw Darkpaw, what would he do? Make him go back? I won't return to that kind of life! Thought the son of Shadow resentfully, emerald eyes narrowing in the direction of his blue-eyed father, who was scanning the crowd for his son fervently. I won't be another Shadow, hating the world because of circumstances I couldn't control! I'm going to control my fate as much as I can .. and I can do as much as StarClan wants me too this way.

Windgust trotted contentedly into the long forgotten clearing, now teaming with anxious, milling cats. It seemed strange to walk these same pathes she had walked so long ago as an apprentice of MountainClan. Now she stood proudly as the new medicine cat of GorgeClan, her reincarnated, long lost home. Seeing Crimsonstar, her new leader head into the clearing to join the others, she took off, streaking into the clearing gracefully as was her manner. She sat, tail wrapped between paws, and looked up, wonderously at the Great Oaks. It seemed to her now that so little time had passed since she'd sat here long ago and looked, wonderously at the magnificent trees. Their big boughs still waved in the wind, as if she was visiting another time. As if nothing had changed. But it had. Everything had changed. Her lover, Crookedwing had abandoned her for Starclan, and broken hearted, she had taken up the role of medicine cat to her new clan. She had taken the road of life and it had come full circle. Windgust closed her eyes, sighing at the irony of life. XXX Pouncetail looked happily around him as he streaked into the clearing. It seemed strange to him to see cats, and clans here, for he had never actually witnessed a Gathering. He'd only had occasion to pass through here breifly when he'd lived the life of a loner. Curious, he watched his leader Crimsonstar start up a breif conversation with another cat, Plaguestrike, now the leader of MireClan. Pouncetail had seen Redblood-now Crimsonstar-around when he'd been a loner, but he'd never really socialised with the tom cat. It seemed strange to him how things worked out, for now he would know this tom well, as a leader in fact. Shaking his head ironically, Pouncetail directed his attention back to the others, seeking out no one in particular. He meandered, wandering from small group to solitary cat back to another small group, seeing if any would be interesting enough to talk to.

Shatteredsky came in after her brother, who now bore the name of a leader, much like her father and grandfather had in the days of so long ago. She saw nothing in his eyes, nothing-- this rather scared her, because she expected to see something, excitement. . . joy. . . or even fear. But there was nothing as he looked back at her, and took the plunge into the ancient oaks where Gatherings has taken place for many, many years.
She settled herself along the backside, where the shrubs grew thick yet she still had a clear view of her brother on the rocks where the leaders stood. Plaguestar was not the true son of Hauntedstar, but she had to admire how well we looked like a true legacy sitting upon that throne. Another leader has soon joined her brother, Crimsonstar he called himself, and his Clan had soon filled the clearing. Shatteredsky kept to herself and watched, two emerald eyes sparkling at a ritual her grandparents had participated in, gone for so long but now arrived at last.

((I was thinking: "Vastflame entered the clearing and joined the other leaders." I think I like yours better though. Have to mention the Clan. Same basic idea though. xP I swear I'm going to do that if she doesn't reply soon. And just for contrast, I'll make a nice, long post for Mintleaf.))
